Step by Step Setup Instructions
|
To set up a new e-mail account:
- Open Eudora Lite
- Check the "Don't ask me
anymore" box.
If you want Eudora to be your main email program,
click the Yes button. If you intend to use another
mail program for most of your email, click the
No button. If you are not sure, just click the
No button
- Click the Close button
- Go into Tools
and then Options
- Under Category,
select Getting Started
- In the POP
Account text box type your email address
- In the Real
Name text box type your name
- In the Return
Address text box type your email address
- For the Connection
Method select Winsock
- Under Category,
select Personal Information
- Verify that your email address
is entered for Pop Account
- Verify that your real name is
entered for Real Name
- Verify that your email address
is entered for Return Address
- Under Category,
select Hosts
- Verify that your email address
is entered for Pop Account
- In the SMTP
text box type: smtp.mydomain.com
(replace mydomain.com with your unique domain
name)
- Under Category,
select Checking Mail
- Verify that your email address
is entered for Pop Account
- Under Category,
select Sending Mail
- Verify that your email address
is entered for Return Address
- Verify that smtp.mydomain.com
is entered for the SMTP Server
- Under Category,
select Advanced Network
- Uncheck Cache network info
- Set Network open timeout to 900
seconds
- Set Network timeout after to
900 seconds
- Click OK
- You are now ready to send and
receive email
